I noticed when I ride around town there has been litter thrown on native plants so I have stopped along the way to help keep the path I ride litter free!

That's classic! I once made the mistake of casually challenging a friend to 1000m race on a pair of rowing machines when we were at the gym together one day. We absolutely killed ourselves sprinting to win. We were breathing heavily for about a minute afterwards with no air to talk. The first thing my friend said was "Why did we do that?" Needless to say we got a good workout at the gym that day. 'Friendly competition' is quite the motivator.
