Where to Ride in Blackpool

Blackpool encompasses a diverse and lovely landscape from a beautiful coastline to distinctive attractions and landmarks with a relatively flat gradient. The promenade (National Cycle Route 62) covers over 12 miles along the promenade at Blackpool, making it the UK’s longest seafront cycle route, even passing the Iconic Blackpool Tower with plenty of places to stop off for food and drink. 

The primary route in Blackpool is the National Cycle Network (NCN) route 62, which runs along the coast from Fleetwood in the north through Blackpool to Lytham and beyond. A branch of NCN62 runs inland through the town centre, Stanley Park and Blackpool Zoo. The maps below show these routes in more detail.

Local rides for new cyclists

The Promenade is great for a traffic-free, flat route on an amazing coastline. However, it can have high footfall through seasonal periods. Therefore, in and around the circumference of Stanley park is great for a leisurely, relaxed, off-road ride.
